Two-part docuseries "In Restless Dreams: The Music of Paul Simon" is set to premiere on MGM+ in March 2024.
MGM+, which has acquired the Alex Gibney-directed docuseries, will premiere the first part on March 17th and the second on March 24th at 9.00 p.m. ET/PT.
The docuseries, which captures Paul Simon at work on his latest musical project, Seven Psalms, also features some never-before-seen footage of his career, from Simon & Garfunkel to Bridge Over Troubled Water and Graceland.
A press release describes "In Restless Dreams: The Music of Paul Simon" as "the definitive musical biography" of the folk singer, and details an immersive journey into the life and work of "one of the greatest songwriters (and performers) in the history of rock 'n' roll."
The press statement says, the docuseries features "revelatory, previously unseen footage from such historic moments as the recording of Bridge over Troubled Water and Graceland, Simon & Garfunkel's unforgettable [1981] reunion concert in Central Park, and, 10 years later, Simon's solo concert there, where he performed before 750,000 people."
The series also features interviews with Simon's friends and collaborators, including jazz heavyweight Wynton Marsalis, SNL's Lorne Michaels, and Simon's wife and fellow musician, Edie Brickell.
