Alternative rock band Porno for Pyros recently released a new holiday song, "Pete's Dad."
The standalone single salutes guitarist Peter DiStefano's father, who survived cancer against the odds, and reflects the band's joy in finding out the news.
"Pete's dad don't have cancer anymore/The doctor called and told him so/Just before/We sat down for Christmas supper/When he found out we all cried a little/It was one of those miracles/It was one of those miracles at Christmas!" frontman Perry Farrell sings.
"Best friends are people of action. When Porno for Pyros created this song, that's when I knew these band of men were my best friends," DiStefano said.
Last month, Porno For Pyros released "Agua," the band's first new music in 26 years.
"Agua" is part of a forthcoming album that is set to drop in 2024 ahead of the band's farewell tour.
