Incannex Healthcare Inc. (IXHL) Tuesday reported positive data from its Phase 2 study of PSX-001 a psilocybin-assisted psychotherapy treatment for generalised anxiety disorder.

In the study, participants with generalised anxiety disorder were randomized to receive either PSX-00 or placebo. Results from the study showed that patients treated with PSX-001 achieved an average 12.8-point reduction in HAM-A (Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale) scores from baseline, compared to a 3.6-point reduction in the placebo group. In 44.1% of patients, a 50% reduction in HAM-A score was observed, 4 times higher than the placebo group. Twenty seven percent of patients receiving PSX-001 achieved full disease remission, five times higher than placebo.
