U.S. Stocks Climb Off Early Lows But Continue To See Modest Weakness

After moving to the downside early in the session, stocks have regained some ground over the course of the trading day on Thursday. The major averages have climbed well off their lows of the session, with the tech-heavy Nasdaq briefly reaching positive territory.

Currently, the major averages are posting modest losses. The Dow is down 194.05 points or 0.4 percent at 49,468.61, the S&P 500 is down 17.09 points or 0.3 percent at 6,864.22 and the Nasdaq is down 41.09 points or 0.2 percent at 22,712.54.
