Oversold Indonesia Bourse Called Lower Again

The Indonesia stock market has moved lower in seven straight sessions, slumping more than 550 points or 5.1 percent in that span. The Jakarta Composite Index now rests just above the 7,070-point plateau and it's tipped to open under water again on Wednesday.

The global forecast for the Asian markets is negative on weakness among the tech shares and because of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East and its effect on oil prices. The European markets were mixed and the U.S. bourses were down and the Asian markets figure to split the difference.

In other news, several countries released the preliminary data for first quarter economic growth. In the U.S., comments by Fed Chair Jerome Powell were also in focus as his term ends this month.
