Death Cab for Cutie recently dropped a new single, "Punching the Flowers," from their upcoming album, I Built You a Tower.
Last month, the band announced I Built You A Tower, their first album in four years, due out on 5th June through ANTI-Records. Ben Gibbard and company had previously shared the lead single, "Riptides".
The new song is accompanied by a video, directed by filmmaker Jason Lester.
Speaking about the track, Gibbard said, "'Punching the Flowers' is a song about stagnation and the feeling of being imprisoned by The known. And about the damage done when someone ventures deeper into the unknown."
