Crude Oil Prices Jump As Middle East Tensions Escalate

Both the crude oil price benchmarks surged on Monday amidst conflicting reports of missile attacks on a U.S. warship. The reports come amidst renewed efforts to restore shipping traffic through the Strait of Hormuz.

Brent Oil Futures for July settlement are currently trading at $111.77, having gained 3.33 percent from the previous close of $108.17. The day's trading ranged between $105.66 and $114.29. The 52-week trading ranged between $58.5 and $126.41.
