Tuesday, Shopify Inc. (SHOP) announced first-quarter financial results, reporting a net loss of $581 million, compared to last year's $682 million.
Total revenues increased to $3,170 million from $2,360 million in the previous year.
GMV for the quarter stood at $100,743 million compared to $74,750 million in the prior year.
Looking ahead to the second quarter, the company expects revenue growth at a high-twenties percentage rate on a year-over-year basis.
In the pre-market hours, SHOP is falling 8.28 percent, to $117.03 on the Nasdaq.
