Lizzo recently shared a new single, "B*tch," the title track of her new album. Lizzo's upcoming album, B*tch, is set to drop on June 5.
The song was produced by Ricky Reed, Blake Slatkin, and Zack Sekoff, and interpolates Meredith Brooks' 1997 song of the same name.
The singer also shared a black-and-white music video for the track, directed by Child. It features Lizzo and circus performers.
"She's a b*tch/ Uh you mean boss/ You been through what I been through/ You know the cost/ If I lost some followers it ain't a loss," Lizzo sings in the song.
"This song is dedicated to the women who get called a b*tch for having boundaries, for being sexual, for speaking up for themselves, for working hard and owning businesses," Lizzo wrote on social media. "If we don't smile and perform all the time we're 'ungrateful.' If we run a strict program we're 'mean.' If we enjoy sex we're 'sluts' and shamed."
Meanwhile, B*tch marks Lizzo's first proper solo album in four years, following 2022's Special, as well as her 2025 mixtape, My Face Hurts from Smiling.
