French stocks turned in a mixed performance on Thursday as investors focused on news from the geopolitical front and reacted to data showing a contraction in French manufacturing and services sector activity.
The benchmark CAC 40 was down 30.89 points or 0.38% at 8,086.53 about half an hour past noon. The index, which dropped to 8,084.52 in early trades, climbed to 8,153.55 before turning weak again.
