Vera Bradley Shares Rise 9% As Q1 Loss Narrows And Revenue Grows

Vera Bradley, Inc. (VRA) shares gained 9.43 percent, rising $0.30 to $3.48 on Wednesday after the lifestyle and accessories retailer reported improved first-quarter fiscal 2027 results.

The stock is currently trading at $3.48, compared with its previous close of $3.18 on the Nasdaq. During the session, it opened at $3.5550 and traded between $3.1600 and $3.7300. Trading volume reached 7.09 million shares, far above its average volume of 302,547 shares.

Net revenues increased to $55.7 million in the thirteen weeks ended May 2, 2026, from $51.7 million in the prior-year quarter. The company significantly reduced its net loss to $4.8 million, or $0.17 per diluted share, compared with a net loss of $33.5 million, or $1.20 per diluted share, a year earlier. Improved profitability was supported by higher sales, increased gross profit, and lower operating expenses.

Vera Bradley shares have traded between $1.39 and $4.39 over the past 52 weeks.
