Tyla is set to make her movie debut in the Sub-Saharan edition of Toy Story 5. The South African pop star will voice an inflatable flamingo in the movie.
"Come and watch with your whole family because your girl Tyla is in the movie as the inflatable flamingo!" she told fans in a video posted to Disney Africa's Instagram.
In a YouTube video that shows her recording her part, Tyla says of being involved in the franchise, "I just couldn't believe that the offer was even presented to me. ... I just grew up watching Toy Story — it's such a big movie in my family. My parents love it, my whole family loves it. ... So the fact that now we get to watch it and hear a little bit of my voice in it is insane."
On July 24, Tyla is set to release her album A*Pop, which includes her recent single "She Did It Again," featuring Zara Larsson.
