Nara Organics has announced the voluntary recall of all its infant formulas in the U.S. after an infant botulism case reported by the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
As of Friday, June 12, 2026, the U.S. FDA has provided epidemiological information on three infant botulism cases with regard to the babies who had consumed Nara infant formula.
The company, with immediate effect, has requested all families to stop using the infant formula for the safety of the babies.
Further, the company states its infant formula has not been tested positive for Clostridium botulinum and is ensuring all possible measures to address the issue.
In accordance with international microbiological guidance for C. botulinum, the company is thoroughly screening every batch for sulfite-reducing clostridia (SRC), C. perfringens, Bacillus cereus, and other spore-forming organisms.
