CAMP4 Therapeutics Corporation (CAMP), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing regulatory RNA-targeting therapeutics for genetic diseases, on Friday reported financial results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2026, and provided corporate updates.

The company is advancing CMP-002, its lead therapeutic candidate for SYNGAP-1-related disorder, toward first-in-human clinical development.

Q2 2026 Performance:

CAMP4 reported a net loss of $33.5 million, or $0.58 per share, compared with a net loss of $12.6 million, or $0.62 per share, in the prior-year quarter.

The higher net loss was primarily driven by a $20.9 million non-cash loss related to the change in fair value of a derivative tranche liability associated with the company's September 2025 private placement.

Research and development expenses increased to $10.8 million from $10.3 million, primarily reflecting clinical and preclinical study costs.

General and administrative expenses were $4.3 million, compared with $4.2 million in Q2 2025.

Clinical & Corporate Updates:

CAMP4 Therapeutics secured regulatory clearance in Australia and Argentina to initiate a first-in-human Phase 1/2 trial of CMP-002, an investigational antisense oligonucleotide therapy being developed for children with SYNGAP1-related disorders, a rare genetic condition with no approved disease-modifying treatments.

The company expects to initiate the first-in-human trial in the fourth quarter of 2026 and is continuing to activate additional clinical trial sites.

CAMP4 has also submitted regulatory filings in the European Union and United Kingdom to support broader enrollment.

The Road Ahead:

CAMP4 received $50.1 million in gross proceeds from the second closing of its private placement following approximately $50 million raised in the initial September 2025 closing.

The company expects its cash runway to extend through the end of 2028.

CAMP4 will host a Virtual Analyst Day on September 28, 2026, featuring an overview of SYNGAP-1, the CMP-002 Phase 1/2 trial design and its early discovery pipeline.

Cash Position:

As of June 30, 2026, CAMP4 had $86.4 million in cash and cash equivalents. Following the quarter, the company raised an additional $50.1 million, extending its expected cash runway through the end of 2028.

CAMP has traded between $1.41 and $ 7.75 over the past year. CAMP closed Friday's trading at $5.44, up 20.89%. In premarket trading today, the stock is up 6.07% at $5.77.
