American Renal Associates Holdings was the ninth worst performing IPO of the year, with negative returns of 20.8 percent.

The Beverly, Massachusetts-based operator of kidney dialysis clinics through joint ventures with physicians, raised $165 million in April by offering 7.5 million shares at $22 per share, within the range of $20 to $23 per share. Its shares are listed on the NYSE under the symbol “ARA”.
