Another CAR-T therapy that will be reviewed by the FDA’s Oncologic Drugs Advisory Committee on March 15, 2024, for an expanded indication is Bristol Myers Squibb and 2seventy bio’s (TSVT) Abecma.The proposed expanded use is for the treatment of adult patients with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma who have received an immunomodulatory agent, a proteasome inhibitor, and an anti-CD38 monoclonal antibody.Abecma is being jointly developed and commercialized in the U.S. as part of a Co-Development, Co-Promotion, and Profit Share Agreement between Bristol Myers Squibb and 2seventy bio.The drug is already approved for the treatment of multiple myeloma in patients who have received at least four kinds of treatment regimens that have not worked or have stopped working.The global annual sales of Abecma were $472 million last year compared to $388 million in 2022.TSVT closed Tuesday's (Feb.27, 2024) trading at $5.96, up 8.36%.
