The FDA decision on AstraZeneca PLC’s (AZN) supplemental Biologics License Application for the approval of a self- or caregiver-administered option for intranasal flu vaccine Flumist Quadrivalent is expected this quarter (Q1, 2024).

FluMist Quadrivalent, a vaccine indicated for the prevention of influenza disease, is approved for use in persons 2 through 49 years of age and currently must be administered exclusively by healthcare professionals.

If approved for expanded use, Flumist Quadrivalent will be the first flu vaccine available to be self-administered by eligible patients or administered by caregivers, adding an additional option to be vaccinated against influenza.

AZN closed Tuesday's (Feb.27, 2024) trading at $66.33, up 0.61%.
