Ventas Inc. (VTR) posted second quarter normalized FFO of $0.68 Thursday morning, compared to the $0.70 reported last year. The company expects to report full year 2009 normalized FFO of $2.55 to $2.62. Ventas Inc. gapped open higher Thursday and climbed during the first hour of trade. The stock closed up by $2.73 at $35.50. Ventas has been rising for the last 2 1/2 weeks and set a 9-month high.
