Super Micro Computer (SMCI) reported second quarter EPS of $0.22 after the close Tuesday, which came in above the consensus estimate of $0.17. The company expects to report third quarter EPS of $0.18 to $0.21.Super Micro Computer gapped open higher Wednesday and posted gains around the middle of the afternoon. The stock finished up by $1.89 at $13.50 on the highest volume of the year. Shares rose past resistance Wednesday and closed at a new high for the year.
