99 Cents Only Stores (NDN) reported third quarter EPS of $0.35 after the close Wednesday, up from the $0.18 posted last year. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.25.
99 Cents Only Stores climbed during the first hour of Thursday's session and advanced further around the middle of the afternoon. Shares finished up by $1.90 at $15.27 on the highest volume in nearly 10 months. The stock broke out past resistance and set a new high for the year.
