Sykes Enterprises Inc. (SYKE) reported second quarter adjusted EPS of $0.29 after the close Monday, up from $0.17 in the prior year period. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.33. The company expects to report third quarter adjusted EPS of $0.27 to $0.29 and between $0.99 and $1.04 for the full year 2011. The consensus estimates are for EPS of $0.38 and $1.49.
Sykes Enterprises gapped open lower Tuesday and spiked to the downside in early trade, before settling into a range. The stock closed down by 3.57 at $12.31 on the highest volume and set an 11-month low.
