Nice Systems CEO Haim Shani To Step Down; Names Ex-Comverse Head As Replacement - Update

Tuesday, Insight from Interactions solutions provider Nice Systems Ltd. (NICE) said its chief executive officer Haim Shani will step down from the company to move into public service. The company named Zeev Bregman as its new CEO, effective September 1, who will assume office by November 1.

Shani, who has decided to start a formal nomination process to the position of General Manager of the Ministry of Finance of the State of Israel, would continue to lead Nice during the transition period.

Bregman served as CEO of Comverse Technology, Inc. (CMVT.PK), a communication software provider, between 2001 and 2007. Prior to becoming Comverse's CEO, he had served in various R&D, sales, marketing and management positions within Comverse, including vice president head of EMEA division, vice president and head of messaging division, and chief operating officer.

NICE is currently trading at $26.27 per share, down 1.05%, on the Nasdaq.
