Sun-Times Media Holdings LLC (SUTMQ.PK) announced that it has appointed Brian Linscott as its Senior Vice President, Finance, and Chief Financial Officer. Linscott would report to Sun-Times Media's Chief Executive Officer and Vice Chairman, Jeremy Halbreich.
The company noted that Linscott was a Managing Director with Huron Consulting Group. In addition to his media company experience, Linscott has also served in various other industries including transportation, automotive, manufacturing, consumer products and financial services.
Halbreich said, "Brian's extensive experience in finance and accounting across many industries and his detailed, in-depth work with Sun-Times Media's predecessor company will be extremely valuable to us in planning and managing our Company's business and in achieving the goals we have established for our readers, advertisers, employees and investors."
He added, "It is essential to balance and guide the pursuit of growth through the operations and expansion of our print and digital businesses with the practice of strong, sound financial management, and Brian is the best person to handle that task for Sun-Times Media."
