Wall Street is set to witness a small flurry of earnings reports this week. Last week, specialty retail and departmental store giants like Gap, Limited Brands, Kohl's, Macy's and many others reported strong profitability on robust holiday selling. Retail companies continue to dominate proceedings on the earnings front. As the week unfolds, investors would focus on quarterly report cards from Staples, Domino's Pizza, Del Monte Foods, Urban Outfitters, Big Lots, BJ's Wholesale Club and many more…

March 01

Monday, before the bell, Rosemead, California-based power generator and distributor Edison International (EIX) would report fourth-quarter results. Analysts look for quarterly earnings of $0.41 per share on revenues of $3.69 billion. In the comparable period last year, it earned $0.66 per share on revenues of $3.23 billion. For the fiscal, the company expects core earnings of $2.95 - $3.15 per share, while consensus call for earnings of $3.03 per share.

For contract drilling services provider Rowan Companies Inc. (RDC) the Street forecasts fourth-quarter earnings of $0.50 per share on revenues of $389.03 million. The Houston, Texas-based company, which would report before the bell on March 01, earned $1.28 per share on revenues of $613.0 million last year.

Monday, Texan oil and gas producer El Paso Corp. (EP) will report fourth-quarter earnings, with analysts looking for earnings of $0.28 per share on revenues of $1.20 billion. In the prior-year quarter, it earned $0.21 per share on revenues of $1.34 billion. For the full-year, the company sees ongoing earnings per share of $1.15, while analysts expect $1.21 per share.

Monday, after the bell, specialty apparel retailer Dress Barn, Inc. (DBRN) is set to reveal second-quarter results, with consensus estimates calling for earnings of $0.29 per share on revenues of $594.10 million. A year before, it lost $0.02 per share, on revenues of $343.20 million.

Monday, Wall Street will witness earnings releases from companies including Amerisafe, Inc. (AMSF), Clear Channel Outdoor Holdings Inc. (CCO), Comfort Systems USA Inc. (FIX), Dish Network Corp. Tuesday, before the bell, automotive parts retailer AutoZone, Inc. (AZO) is slated to report second-quarter performance, with the Street looking for $2.34 per share on revenues of $1.49 billion. A year earlier, the company earned $2.03 per share on revenues of $1.45 billion.

Office products company Staples Inc. (SPLS) will release fourth-quarter results before the bell, Tuesday. Street analysts foresee $0.38 per share on revenues of $6.29 billion, while the company expects adjusted earnings per share in the range of $0.36 - $0.38. in the year-ago period, it earned $0.36 per share on revenues of $6.17 billion.

Pizza delivery company Domino's Pizza Inc. (DPZ) is expected to earn fourth-quarter profit of $0.25 per share, on revenues of $437.28 million, according to the Street view. The group, which is set to release quarterly results before market opens Tuesday, posted a profit of $0.19 per share, on revenues of $428.17 million, a year ago.

Tuesday, companies including Allis-Chalmers Energy, Inc. (ALY), ArQule Inc. (ARQL), Boots & Coots, Inc. (WEL), Boyd Gaming Corp. (BYD), Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. (CTB), Eagle Bulk Shipping, Inc. (EGLE), Fresh Del Monte Produce Inc. (FDP), Hercules Offshore, Inc. (HERO), Hovnanian Enterprises Inc. (HOV), United Natural Foods, Inc. (UNFI), URS Corp. (URS), VeriFone Holdings, Inc. (PAY) and many others are expected to report quarterly earnings.

Wednesday, before the bell, broadline closeout retailer Big Lots Inc. (BIG) is slated to release fourth-quarter results, with the Street predicting earnings of $1.28 per share on revenues of $1.45 billion. a year ago, it earned $1.00 per share on revenues of $1.37 billion. For the fourth-quarter, the company expects earnings of $1.09 - $1.14 per share. For fiscal 2009, non-GAAP earnings from continuing operations are expected between $2.15 and $2.20 per share, while analysts look for $2.34 per share.

Membership warehouses operator Costco Wholesale Corp. (COST) is set to report second-quarter financials before the bell, Wednesday, with consensus estimates calling for earnings of $0.71 per share on revenues of $18.51 billion Last year, the company earned $0.55 per share on revenues of $16.84 billion.

According to Street view, warehouse clubs operator BJ's Wholesale Club, Inc. (BJ) would earn $0.96 per share on revenues of $2.79 billion for the fourth-quarter. The group, which would report before the bell, Wednesday, earned $0.89 per share on revenues of $2.5 per share in the prior-year quarter. While announcing its second-quarter results, the company raised its full-year outlook to $2.44 to $2.54 per share. Annual sales of $9.85 billion - $9.95 billion are expected for the fiscal. Consensus estimates call for earnings of $2.50 per share on revenues of $10.18 billion, for the fiscal.

Wednesday, after the bell, Irving, Texas-based Darling International Inc. (DAR) will report fourth-quarter results, with analysts projecting $0.17 per share in earnings on revenues of $163.18 million. A year earlier, the company lost $0.17 per share on revenues of $148.45 million.

Arena Resources Inc. (ARD), Canadian Solar Inc. (CSIQ), Carrizo Oil & Gas Inc. (CRZO), DivX, Inc. (DIVX), Foot Locker, Inc. (FL), Finisar Corp. (FNSR), Joy Global, Inc. (JOYG), Yamana Gold, Inc. (AUY) and many more would report earnings on Wednesday.

Thursday, before the bell, tax preparation company H&R Block Inc. (HRB) is due to reveal third-quarter numbers. Wall Street forecasts quarterly earnings of $0.16 per share on revenues of $958.69 million. Last year, it earned $0.20 per share on revenues of $993.45 million.

Specialty retailer Urban Outfitters Inc. (URBN), which replaced Affiliated Computer Services (ACS) in the S&P 500 Index in January, would unveil fourth-quarter results before the bell on March 04. The consensus estimates call for earnings of $0.40 per share on revenues of $585.75 million. A year before, the company earned $0.24 per share on revenues of $508.08 million.

From branded food and pet products retailer Del Monte Foods Co. (DLM) analysts expect third-quarter earnings of $0.21 per share on revenues of $981.08 million. The group, which is set to report before the market opens, Thursday, earned $0.30 per share on revenues of $942.30 million, in the earlier-year quarter.

Thursday, after the market closes, chipmaker Marvell Technology Group Ltd. (MRVL) would check in fourth-quarter financials. Analysts are looking for earnings of $0.36 per share on revenues of $838.07 million, while the company foresees non-GAAP earnings of $0.33 to $0.39 per share on revenues of $820 million - $850 million. In the corresponding period a year ago, it earned $0.05 per share on revenues of $512.87 million.
