Signature Bank (SBNY) announced the appointment of two private client banking teams, which will be based in Manhattan. Ronald Berkowitz, Gabrielle Stern and Abidus Chowdhury were each named Group Director and Senior Vice President at Signature Bank.
Berkowitz and his team join from TD Bank, where he most recently served as Senior Branch Manager. Previously, Berkowitz was a Branch Manager at North Fork. He began his career at Republic National Bank as an Assistant Branch Manager.
Joining Berkowitz' team is Howard Green, who was named Associate Group Director and Vice President. Green worked with Berkowitz at his previous institution where he served as Branch Manager. Green had previously served as branch manager at Century Bank and Trust and Citizens Bank.
Kimberly Mohammed was named Senior Client Associate and will also join Berkowitz' team, which will be based at the Bank's private client banking office at 300 Park Avenue in New York City.
Stern most recently was Vice President, Business Banking at the Tribeca branch of HSBC. Previously, she was a Business Relationship Manager at both JP Morgan Chase and Citibank, N.A.
Chowdhury worked with Stern in Tribeca, where he was Vice President/Branch Manager of one of the largest branches in that bank's network. He joined Republic National.
Joining Stern and Chowdhury's team is Nicholas Matthias, who will serve as Senior Client Associate.
