Richelieu Hardware Ltd. (RCH.TO) reported that its third-quarter net earnings were C$8.9 million or C$0.40 per share, compared to net earnings of C$9.6 million or C$0.42 per share in the prior year quarter. Sales for the quarter were C$109.4 million, down from C$111.8 million in the year ago quarter.
For the nine-month period, net earnings were C$20.5 million or C$0.93 per share, compared with net earnings of C$25.4 million or C$1.11 per share for the first nine months of the previous fiscal year. Sales for the period were C$313.7 million, down from C$322.7 million in the comparable period of last year.
