Coldplay have confirmed that they will be special guests on the 20th anniversary episode of The Simpsons, which will air in January.
Chris Martin and company will join the likes of U2, Aerosmith, Smashing Pumpkins, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and George Harrison as musicians who have lent their voices and likenesses to the show.
Coldplay's episode is scheduled to air on January 14.
In addition, Coldplay have announced new live dates for a tour of Latin America. The band will tour the region in February and March, and will make appearances in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Mexico.
The Simpsons, which debuted in 1989, is now in its 21st season, passing Gunsmoke as the longest-running American primetime entertainment series.
