Friday, ChinaEdu Corp. (CEDU) said its shareholders re-elected Samuel Yen and Fan Min as independent directors during the annual general meeting.

Amol Shah was elected to the board of directors after replacing ShaSha Chang, who announced her retirement from the board in April 2009.

Samuel Yen served as a director of the company since October 2007. He is the vice president of finance at Alibaba Group. From 2004 to 2005, Yen served as financial controller and company secretary of Dynasty Fine Wines Group Ltd. Prior to that, he held various positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers and Arthur Andersen & Co., most recently as a senior manager.

Min Fan served as a director of ChinaEdu since October 2007. He is one of the co-founders and the current chief executive officer of Ctrip.com International Ltd. From 2000 to 2005, he served as Ctrip's chief operating officer and executive vice president.
