Shares of Lam Research Corp. (LRCX) rose until mid-morning Monday, before settling into a narrow range. The stock closed higher by $1.72 at $37.91 on the highest volume in 2 1/2 months. Lam Research Corp. has been gaining ground for the last week and finished Monday at its second consecutive new high for the year.
