Insulet Corp.'s (PODD) third-quarter net loss widened to $24.72 million from a loss of $21.66 million in the year-ago period. On a per share basis, loss was 88 cents, compared with 78 cents last year.
Ten analysts estimated a loss of 70 cents per share. Analysts' estimates typically exclude one-time items.
Revenues increased to $18.73 million from $10.11 million last year, while analysts for the same quarter expected revenues of $16.88 million.
For fiscal 2009, the company raised its revenue expectation to a range between $64 million and $66 million from prior outlook of $58 million - $65 million. Ten analysts now expect revenues of 62.49 million.
