Armstrong World Industries Is Trading At A New High For The Year

Armstrong World Industries (AWI) reported third quarter EPS of $0.75 after the close Tuesday, down from the $0.86 posted last year. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.45. The company expects to report full year 2009 EPS of $1.34 to $1.41, compared to the consensus estimate of $1.12.

Armstrong World Industries gapped up Wednesday and has been climbing for the bulk of the morning. Shares are now up 2.45 at $40.60. The stock has risen above a 2-week range and has set a new high for the year.
