A car bomb explosion on the outskirts of Pakistan's northwestern city of Peshawar killed at least 10 people and wounded as many 15 others according to police reports.
The suicide attack targeted the mayor of Matni, Abdul Malik, a former supporter of Taliban, who later turned against Taliban. He succumbed to his injuries in hospital. The explosion took place in a crowded cattle market.
