WuXi PharmaTech (Cayman) Inc. (WX) reported GAAP net income of $14.3 million or $0.19 per ADS, compared to $7.3 million or $0.10 per ADS for the year-ago quarter.
Income from continuing operations for the third quarter was $14.5 million or $0.19 per ADS, compared to $8.4 million or $0.12 per ADS in the prior year quarter.
Non-GAAP operating income for the third quarter was $17.6 million or $0.24 per ADS, compared to $13.2 million or $0.18 per ADS in the third quarter of last year.
Net revenues for the quarter grew 10% to $70.04 million from $63.79 million in the same quarter last year.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.15 per share on revenue of $70.22 million for the third quarter.
The company reconfirmed its expectation for 2009 total net revenues of $265 million to $275 million. Analysts currently expect the company to post revenue of $269.49 million for the full year 2009.
