Assured Guaranty Ltd. (AGO) reported third quarter operating income of $0.44 per share after the close Monday, up from $0.28 per share in the prior year period. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.31.
Assured Guaranty gapped open sharply higher Tuesday and has continued to rise on above average volume. Shares are now up 6.22 at $27.43. The stock has been climbing for the past week and a half and is now trading at a new high for the year.
