United States Cellular Corp. (USM) announced that it plans to appoint Edward Perez to vice president-marketing and sales operations, effective Jan. 1, 2010.
The company stated that Perez is currently senior director of U.S. Cellular's business support system/operations support system track in the company's strategic operational program.
Perez began at U.S. Cellular 13 years ago in the sales operations team. He has been the company's senior director of sales and marketing in the West and Central regions and senior director of the product group in marketing, and he was still in that marketing role when he was tapped to be the interim senior director of brand management when U.S. Cellular launched its new brand identity in 2008, the company said.
