Analog Devices Q4 Profit Declines; Provides Q1 EPS View - Quick Facts 2

Analog Devices Inc. (ADI) reported fourth-quarter net income of $105.6 million or $0.36 per share, compared to net income of $143.9 million or $0.49 per share in the same quarter last year.

On average, 21 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.26 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenue for the quarter was $571.6 million, down from $661.0 million in the comparable quarter last year. Analysts expected the company to report revenue of $523.84 million for the quarter.

Looking ahead to the first quarter, the company expects to report earnings from continuing operations in the range of $0.36 - $0.37 per share, excluding restructuring charges associated with the closure of our Cambridge fab. Analysts currently anticipate the company to earn $0.28 per share for the quarter.

The company also declared a cash dividend of $0.20 per outstanding share of common stock, payable, December 23, 2009 to shareholders of record at the close of business on December 4, 2009.
