Analog Devices Inc. (ADI) reported fourth quarter EPS of $0.36 after the close Monday, down from $0.49 in the prior year period. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.26. The company expects to report first quarter EPS of $0.36 to $0.37, compared to the consensus estimate of $0.28. Analog Devices gapped up sharply Tuesday and climbed in early trade, but settled into a range for the majority of the session. Shares finished higher by $1.80 at $29.74 on the highest volume in 6 months. The stock rose above a 4-month range and set a new high for the year.
