Extending its 4-day losing streak, the New Zealand dollar showed weakness against its Japanese and European counterparts in early Asian trading on Thursday.

The kiwi plummeted to 2.0781 against the euro around 7:30 pm ET, the lowest level since September 22. On the downside, the New Zealand currency may find support near the 2.086 level. The pair was worth 2.0674 at Wednesday's North American close.

Against the yen, the NZ dollar slumped to more than a 3-week low in the session. The kiwi reached 63.49 against the yen around 7:55 pm ET and a move below the 63.2 support may pull down the pair to its lowest level in nearly 8 weeks. The kiwi-yen pair closed deals on Wednesday's New York session at 64.03.
