Lloyds Banking Group Plc (LYG,LLOY.L) said that following the closing of the Rights Issue offer period on December 11, 2009, the company has received valid acceptances in respect of 34.79 billion New Shares representing about 95.314% of the total number of New Shares to be issued pursuant to the Rights Issue announced by the company on November 3, 2009.
The company expects that the New Shares will commence trading fully paid on London Stock Exchange Plc's (LSE.L) main market for listed securities on December 14, 2009.
