Gaylord Entertainment Co. (GET) announced that it has promoted Kemp Gallineau, currently senior vice president and general manager of Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center, to senior vice president and chief sales officer for Gaylord Hotels. Gallineau will be succeeded at the Gaylord Palms by Johann Krieger, currently vice president and hotel manager at the property. Both appointments are effective January 1, 2010.
Since joining the company in 2001, he has worked on-property at three of the brand's four hotels. Prior to his position at the Palms, he was vice president and assistant general manager of Gaylord Opryland where, in addition to his operational responsibilities, he had oversight of other Gaylord assets including the Radisson at Opryland, the General Jackson Showboat, Gaylord Springs Golf Links, Wildhorse Saloon and the Transportation Division.
As senior vice president and general manager of Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center, Krieger will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the resort and its management team, including hotel and convention center operations.
