InterDigital, Inc. (IDCC) announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, InterDigital Communications, LLC, has entered into a multi-faceted collaboration with Attila Technologies LLC.
InterDigital has provided an undisclosed capital infusion and acquired a minority position in Attila and in addition, the companies will collaborate on the development and marketing of bandwidth aggregation technologies and related multi-network innovations, the company said.
Under the agreement, InterDigital said that it has acquired a minority stake in Attila and a seat on its board of directors. InterDigital also made an additional investment in specified technology development programs. The companies will jointly demonstrate their bandwidth aggregation capabilities on live networks at the 2010 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
