Michael Jackson's Captain EO, a 17-minute 3-D musical motion picture, will return to California's Disneyland in 2010 for a limited run. The short film premiered at Disneyland's Magic Eye Theater and ran for nearly 12-years before closing in 1997.
The space adventure movie features Jackson as Captain EO, who is on a mission to deliver a musical gift to a wicked alien queen on a foreign planet. EO is accompanied by a colorful crew, including his sidekick Fuzzbucket, security officer Major Domo and shipmate Hooter. The film features 3-D lasers and smoke effects.
Jackson performs two songs in the film, "We Are Here to Change The World" and "Another Part of Me."
Captain EO, which was produced by Star Wars' creator George Lucas and directed by The Godfather's Francis Ford Coppola, reportedly cost $30 million to make. Anjelica Huston starred as the evil alien queen.
