Vampire Weekend and the recently reformed '80s new wave act, Spandau Ballet, have been added to the ever-growing lineup for the 2010 Isle of Wight Festival. The event will take place June 11, 12 and 13, featuring headlining performances from rapper Jay-Z and New York garage rockers, the Strokes.
The 2010 event will mark Spandau Ballet's first Isle of Wight Festival appearance.
"We're really looking forward to being part of it, playing outdoors in the summer is another new chapter for Spandau," said the group's Gary Kemp.
"In the '80s, the only festivals to play were for rock bands. We played clubs, then arenas and stadiums on our own, so this will be our first multi-artist event since Live Aid."
Organizers are expected to announce a third headliner soon.
