U2 Movie Killing Bono To Be Filmed In Ireland

Killing Bono, a movie about a band that attempted to get off of the ground the same time U2 did, will be filmed in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The movie is essentially a story about two Irish brothers with a dream of becoming rock stars, but run into a rival band that eventually becomes U2.

The movie is based on an autobiography entitled I Was Bono's Doppelganger, which was written by Neil McCormick.

Chronicles of Narnia actor Ben Barnes will assume the role of McCormick while Robert Sheehan will play his brother Ivan. The movie was written by Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais, and will be directed by Nick Hamm.

Killing Bono is set to begin shooting January 11.
