Dollar Mixed Ahead Of US Weekly Jobless Claims Report

The US Labor Department is due to release its customary weekly jobless claims report for the week ended December 26th at 8:30 AM ET. Economists expect claims to have increased to 455,000 in the recent reporting week.

The US dollar showed mixed performance against its major rivals ahead of the data. While the greenback edged higher against the yen, it held steady versus the euro, pound and the Swiss franc.

Currently, the dollar is trading at 1.4403 against the euro, 1.0303 versus the franc, 92.51 against the yen and 1.6226 per pound.
