Britney Spears #19 Touring Artist Of The Decade

Britney Spears came in at number nineteen on Pollstar.com's list of the top grossing touring acts of the last decade. The singer brought in $195.7 million dollars, selling 3.5 million tickets.

Other top acts of the 2000s include Metallica at number 15 with $225.5 million earned, Jimmy Buffett at number 10 with $285.8 million earned, the Rolling Stones at number five with $426.9 million earned and Dave Matthews Band at number one with $529.1 million.

Though it's been a rocky decade for Britney, the pop star's touring success has been significant. Her most recent trek, The Circus Featuring Britney Spears tour, packed in 97 shows between last March and last November.

Overall, the tour grossed $96,213,121, placing her in Pollstar's top five touring acts of 2009.

According to Britney's label, Jive Records, the singer plans to release a new album in May. The new disc will reportedly feature collaborations with Max Martin, who penned Spears' 1999 hit, "Baby One More Time."
