Siemens AG (SI) announced that it has appointed Eric Spiegel as president and chief executive officer of Siemens Corp., effective January 18. In his new role, Spiegel will serve as a strong voice on policy issues that affect Siemens and its customers, and drive the company's business and efforts in sustainability and green technologies. Spiegel also adds experience in the areas of healthcare, water and transportation.
Spiegel was previously senior vice president and senior partner at Booz & Co. and brings more than 25 years of experience in key energy, manufacturing and utility industries. He is co-author of the book, "Energy Shift: Game-changing Options for Fueling the Future," and is a well-known thought leader and adviser in the energy sector.
