Siemens Names Eric Spiegel President, CEO Of Siemens Corp. - Update

Europe's largest engineering conglomerate Siemens AG (SI), Wednesday named management consultant and energy expert Eric Spiegel President and Chief Executive Officer of Siemens Corporation, effective January 18.

Spiegel, most recently was the Senior Vice President and Senior Partner of Booz & Co. He has over 25 years of experience in key energy, manufacturing and utility industries, leading major energy client assignments in Asia, the Middle East, Europe and the United States.

Based in Washington, D.C., Spiegel will now serve as the voice of Siemens on policy issues that affect the company and its customers, and drive the company's business and efforts in sustainability and green technologies. Spiegel also adds experience in the areas of healthcare, water and transportation.

Commenting on the new opportunity, Spiegel said, "I look forward to the opportunity to work with Siemens employees across America and the company's valued customers in the energy, industry and healthcare sectors."

Siemens Corporation is the US holding company for Siemens AG that manufactures wide array of products from three major business including Energy, Industry and Healthcare. Cross-sector businesses include IT, financial services, Nokia Siemens Networks, home appliances, and communications.

SI is currently trading at $1.01 or 1.05%, on a volume of 0.16 million shares.
