The Ting Tings have named their upcoming second album Kunst, after a German massage parlor located near their studio. The British Indie-pop duo of Katie White and Jules De Martino plan to release the offering later this year.
"Just round the corner to our studio there's a massage parlour, it's called Massage Kunst," De Martino told NME. "It's Massage Art, basically ["kunst" is German for "art"]. We took a picture of that and sent it to our label, saying this is the title of the album. They went berserk."
The duo says the upcoming album will include the singles "Help" and "Hands."
The Ting Tings released their debut album, We Started Nothing, in May 2008. It featured the hit "That's Not My Name" and reached number one on the U.K. Albums Chart.
The group has been nominated for the best new artist award at the upcoming Grammy Awards ceremony.
