CF Industries Holdings Inc. (CF) announced after the close Thursday that it has withdrawn its offer to acquire Terra Industries Inc. (TRA) and that it is no longer pursuing the acquisition. CF Industries also stated that it sold all its shares in Terra.
Terra Industries was range-bound throughout Thursday's session and closed up by 0.05 at $32.66. The stock closed testing the lower end of a one-month range. Terra Industries is now down 1.76 on 862K shares after the bell.
